Silver Coated Shaft Grounding Ring

Use silver-coated conductive fiber replace the common carbon fiber, the resistance in both static and dynamic status can be improved effectively. Especially for applicaiton on NEV motor, which has quite limited space and small shaft diameter. Common carbon fiber shaft grounding ring couldn't divert the shaft current effetively and failed to protect the NEV motor. Some NEV manufacturers have tested the common shaft grouning ring and didn't find strong evidence that the shaft voltage has been reduced impressively. Normally the power of new developed NEV motor is over 200KW and voltage is above 800V. This has bring challenge to the traditional shaft grounding products.  BRS has developed silver-coated conductive fiber to replace common design, even a small size product can bring obvious improvement.

 

What's more, the silvered-coated conductive can be used for large motor, like wind turbine and industrial generator. Normally it will need to installed much large size (OD&Width) shaft grounding rings to add the amount of conductive fibers to adapt to the high power application. Aslo silver-coated fiber can work under high temperature enviroment, such as tunnel.


The next generation of shaft grounding technology will be silver-coated conductive fibers. This technology will improve the lifetime of VFD motor and the drived rotatory equipments.
