Check the installation process is correct. The shaft surface will be cleared and the cover should be conductive. Also check the motor is grounded correctly. The motor grounding have significantly affect on the performance of shaft grounding ring. If the power of motor is high, consider to choose multilayer brushes design or silver coated carbon fiber to reduce the shaft voltage.

The pressure of air inlet will keep the material in and prevent the serious wearing to the mating ring (PTFE or PEEK material). If no air resource, we can choose the special design which has springs to offer the preloading force, and fill grease in the sealing cavity to prevent solid material leaking.

The manufacturing of Isolator is mainly via CNC machining, no mold needed. So the cost for custom design will depend on the dimension and quantity. We suggest custom design for special equipment and revocation project to ensure best performance.

The PTFE material Isolator will be best choice for strong corrosive environment. If aluminium with coated layer, such as nitriding process will also can resist strong corrosion.

The reason for leaking is various: 1. The oil level is above the bottom of the shaft and the pressure exists. The Isolator is a kind of labyrinth seal and can not handle with pressure. 2. Installation problem. The oil return hole is not at the six O’clock position and the oil can not return back freely. 3. The housing is not bore hole and there is block inside. 4. Lubrication methods. If the lubrication is forced oil or oil mist, the pressure will make the leakage aggravated.
