Reducer is a commonly used equipment in machinery, its shaft end (dynamic seal) lubricant leakage problem has not been well solved, resulting in reducer oil shortage, leading to bearing burnout or serious wear of gears, which caused by the failure of 50% to 60% of all failures. Lubricant leakage is an important indicator for evaluating the quality of the reducer, and lubricant leakage poses a great threat to the safe and reliable operation of the reducer. If regular maintenance and refueling cannot be guaranteed, with the loss of lubricant, the service life of the bearings will be reduced accordingly or even damaged, and excessive wear of gears will be caused in serious cases.

The skeleton oil seal belongs to the contact seal, simple structure, small and compact installation position, equipment vibration and shaft eccentricity has a certain adaptability, but on the shaft diameter, oil seal hole groove size tolerance, surface roughness and surface hardness of the shaft (heat treatment) higher requirements, lubricating oil viscosity, oil quality, and equipment use environment, temperature and so on will affect the sealing effect and service life of the oil seal. In addition, the assembly of oil seals must use special tools to ensure that the lip is not deformed, and the process requirements are high. At present, there are many specifications and sizes of oil seals, but most of them have poor product quality and short service life. Even if imported skeleton oil seals are used, the service life is only about 2 years. Simply replace the skeleton oil seal cost is often more than the price of the oil seal itself several times. Another unavoidable factor is that when assembling the coupling, it is often installed hot, and the temperature reaches 200-300 ℃ or even higher. After the coupling is installed (due to the small spacing), the lip of the oil seal is deformed by heat, melting and losing its sealing effect.

Throwing oil ring is the use of centrifugal force will be thrown out of the flow of oil to the shell wall, and along the shell wall of the return groove flow back to the oil pool. Throwing ring seal belongs to the power type seal, suitable for high-speed conditions, in low-speed conditions sealing performance is weakened, the loss of sealing performance in the parking.

Combined sealing using the above two or more sealing forms of sealing structure, but from the application effect, most of the less than ideal. The reason is that these sealing structure is not reasonable, or spare parts manufacturing quality, installation process is poor. If the working environment of the reducer is poor, there must be a dust-proof structure, the reason is: ① dust into the reducer contamination of lubricating oil, will lead to excessive wear of gears and bearings: dust and lubricating oil in the gears of the mixing of the full mix will affect the lubricating effect of lubricating oil and mobility; ③ dust and oil in the return channel of the accumulation of lubricating oil will be blocked to the lubricating oil back to the flow. Under normal conditions, it is necessary to ensure good lubrication of gears and bearings of the reducer.
